My Degree Is Worthless...

Passport to Boredom

I now work at Passport canada, I am contempleting going back to Korea because I was having way more fun there...That's my life in a nut-shell since last time I wrote...like a zillion years ago. Does anyone still look at this thing?!

Never shall another dog walk this earth who was as loved as the one we said goodbye to yesterday.
No more can be said.

I'm terrible

I admit it; since I got back home, I've been lax with this whole blogging thing...but it's only because my life has taken a turn towards the more boring.

And so...I wait. I shall only update this when something exciting happens (for example...when I get a job) so you all may be waiting for quite a while.

Only a few things have happened these past few months: moved to the new house, which is causing the parents untold stress as well as happiness (is that even possible?); have interviewed for a few jobs but no takers yet *sigh*; friend is getting married in Costa Rica; I've been invited to go to Trinidad to visit my friend; and that's about it.

Hope all is slap-happy with everyone.  I shall update again...hopefully much sooner and moe frequently than these last few months.

cheerio.

Addiction!!!

TO FACEBOOK!!! To all the bastards that introduced me to facebook...thanks for feeding a crazy person more ways to stalk people.

Weekend!

Finally.  And tomorrow is my first excursion to the beach as it's supposed to be a balmy 24 degrees.  I also have to write a gov. test tomorrow a.m.  Hopefully I'll be able to concentrate despite the excitement of beach-time.  I mean look at how nice it is! (still...nothing compared to Thailand, though)
Mom and Dad had their Garage/Moving Sale today, which was a resounding success, they even sold the knock off gucci sunglasses I bought in Bangkok, which were PLASTIC and clearly fake.  Actually, the sale was supposed to go for 2 days, but they're not sure if we have enough stuff left to justify having again tomorrow.  Good for them, as I know they were worried about not being able to sell our major appliances.

Holy crap, I wish there was something more exciting for me to tell you guys about. But my life has done a 180 since arriving back in this crap-town.  All I do is eat, sleep, work and go on jaunty walks to try and lose the home-cooked-meals-belly I grew since arriving home.  I would put up a picture of my belly, but I don't want the entire internet to crash or people to go blind from terror.

Cheerio for now.  I'm off to hang out with my pal Jen and play various board games. Have a fantastic weekend.

Jobs & Junk

Sorry for not updating AT ALL...I am working 2 jobs right now. The CRA (taxes...boring) which goes from 7:30am until 3:30pm, and then the LC (which, ironically, is now giving me loads of shifts) I work there from about 4-10. So basically I'm a mess by the time the day ends and the last thing I want to do is write about how I'm learning what order to put tax papers in. Nobody wants to hear it, and I don't want to type it.

We're also preparing for a garage sale since we're moving and have loads of junk.  I found 6 pez dispensers...of Star Wars characters.  I'm NOT selling them...but I'd totally forgotten about 'em. I am positive that crazy collectors are willing to pay 100s of 1000s of dollars for them.  Therefore I believe I will put them on eBay.  I may hold on to Bobba Fett, though, as he is too awesome for words.  I've posted  pics of them so you all can enjoy remembering the glory that is Lucas Films before George sold out.

I have no idea when I'll update again. Probably next sunday, when I have my 1 day off per week. I shouldn't be complaining, because at least I'm now employed....if only for 5 weeks.  But working for 14 hours a day is NOT my idea of living the good life. Peace out homies.

Dream Phone

As many of you know...I have a great fondness for all things hilariously cheesy, especially if it has anything to do with the late 80s or early 90's.  My frind Kelly also shares this fondness, though to a lesser degree.  Tonight a long-time dream has come true for the both of us.  Kelly bought the board game Dream Phone off eBay and received it early this afternoon.  She called me immediately and we arranged to play the game asap.

Kelly arrived at my house at 7pm, and after a quick run to Starbucks, we cracked open the box which revealed the greatest treasure ever made.  The first phone number dialed revealed that our secret crush didn't wear blue jeans.  After 10 minutes of laughter which resulted in tears and a lot of screeching, we continued the game.  We played twice.  I don't mean to brag...but I seem to have a knack for crappy 80s games as I kicked Kelly's ass at both Sweet Valley High AND Dream Phone.  It turns out that PAUL likes me. Ooooooooooh! I do believe that I may make it a stipulation that if you want to be my friend, you must play Dream Phone with me at least once a month.

Please take a look at the photo section as I have posted a few pics of this whimsical game.

Also...I seriously have to mention that there was an important notice in the instructions of the game....It said that NONE of the numbers were real and that girls should not be trying to call up strangers. HAHAHAHAHA!

Sorry...

for the lack of updates, but nothing new is going on! I'm just bored...I get the occassional call from the LC to work...which, depending on my mood, I may accept or decline (mood=whether or not they woke me up).

I got a call from the CRA for a month long job at the taxation center, which I declined...but in retrospect should have taken, so I'm calling them back tomorrow a.m. to see if it's too late to grab it.  I've got nothing to lose.  Honestly, I'd rather stay here than go to Afghanistan...though...I'll miss out on more travelling. *sigh*

We also have no couch or t.v. in the basement anymore.  Mum and Dad sold them to a kid who's moving out for the first time.  He was such a cute kid. Ah, to be young again.  The first apartment...such fond memories.  Although, I am a bit distressed because that big t.v. was supposed to be mine for when I finally stop being a bum...but I'm sure the technology of plasma tvs will be cheap by then and I can get an awesome one for when I move out at the age of 40. Sweet.

Cheers.  It's bath time for me.  --Jenn

My greatest ambition in life is to get a Batman glass. If that fails...then I'll just move to L.A. and become a Celebrity Personal Assistant.
